If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following additional terms apply in addition to our base Privacy Policy.

Legal bases

Contract — matchmaking, profile, chat, billing, account lifecycle.
Consent — marketing email, ad personalization, analytics, optional cookies.
Legitimate interest — fraud / abuse prevention (risk-score, photo-stealing detection, off-platform contact detection).
Legal obligation — financial record retention (7 years), audit log.

Your rights

Access (Article 15) — request a copy of your data.
Rectification (Article 16) — correct inaccurate data.
Erasure (Article 17) — "right to be forgotten" — delete your account.
Restriction (Article 18) — pause your account (preserves data; no processing).
Portability (Article 20) — receive your data in JSON format.
Objection (Article 21) — withdraw marketing-email consent, opt out of personalized ads.
Withdraw consent (Article 7) — at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.

Data transfers

funkihoo's primary infrastructure is in AWS us-east-1 (USA). Data transfers to the US rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and additional safeguards. Backups are replicated to AWS eu-central-1 (Frankfurt).

Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority. UK: ICO. France: CNIL. Germany: BfDI. Etc.
